We use positive reinforcement training methods with all of our dogs. Our signature #doggytrailmix packed with tasty snacks makes practicing manners, tricks, and skills all the more fun!


We approve of and use: longlines, harnesses, muzzles, treats, toys, mats, crates, clickers, enrichment toys, praise and affection. *Please note that we require a well fitting harnesses for all our Small Pack Walk participants*


In the event of an emergency, we are equipped with: dog first aid kit, emergency sling, leash for each dog, bear spray, air horn, whistle, pocket knife, clean water, and an emergency satellite communication device. All off-leash dogs must demonstrate a reliable recall from the safety of a longline.


Yes, Doggy Tales Whistler is fully insured through The Cooperators.


Yes; all of our staff members are Dog First Aid and CPR certified through Dogsafe Canine First Aid. All of our staff members hold current Fear Free Pet Sitter's certifications.

We are currently running Small Pack Walks Tuesday-Sunday weekly!


Private Adventure Walks & Hotel Sittings:

- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment will not incur any charges

- Cancellations made within 48 hours but more than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will be charged at 50% of the total rate for the service booked

- Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will be charged at 100% of the total rate for the service booked. 


Doggy Sleepovers: 

- Bookings, at least 24 hours notice per night(s) booked is required in the event of a cancellation

- Owner understands that any cancellations made with less notice will require payment in full


Small Pack Walks: 

- SPW's require a weekly booking in order to participate

- One week of scheduled walk(s) may be cancelled seasonally (Jan 1 - Mar 31, Apr 1 - June 30, July 1 - Sept 30, Oct 1 - Dec 31) without charge or losing the weekly spot(s)

- All planned absences require at minimum 7 days notice via email or Pet Pocketbook

- For additional absences, payment in full is required in order to guarantee spots upon return

- Minimum 2 week's notice is required for cancellation of a weekly Small Pack Walk (SPW) booking
