Off-leash dog walking, built for the Pemberton valley.

Pemberton dogs were made for big country — wide meadows, river dykes, lake trails, and farm roads with room to actually run. Doggy Tales brings the same small-pack, off-leash trail care that Whistler families have trusted for years north to Pemberton, BC: long adventure walks, real recall training, and certified handlers who know how to keep a dog safe in bear country.

We run small pack group walks of six dogs or fewer, private adventure walks for dogs that need one-on-one focus, and pet sitting and sleepovers for clients away for the day or longer. Every walker is DogSafe & Fear Free certified, fully insured, and carries bear spray, a satellite SOS device, GPS-tracked collars, and a canine first-aid kit on every single walk.

Common Questions

Pemberton Dog Walking FAQs

Do you walk dogs in Pemberton?

Yes — Pemberton is a core part of our service area. We run off-leash small-pack group walks, private adventure walks, pet sitting, and sleepovers across the valley, including the Village, The Glen, The Plateau, Pemberton Meadows, and Mount Currie. Pickup and drop-off are included throughout Pemberton.

Which Pemberton trails do you walk?

We rotate across One Mile Lake, Nairn Falls Provincial Park, Signal Hill, the Pemberton Meadows dyke trails, and Mosquito Lake — choosing the right trail for the day's group, season, and weather. Recall-trained dogs get real off-leash freedom; dogs still building recall use a 20-foot long line so they stay safe. See more routes on our interactive trail map.

How many dogs are in a Pemberton group walk?

A maximum of six dogs per walker. Small packs are the only way we run group walks — it's safer, calmer, and means your dog gets real attention instead of being managed at a distance. Many other walkers run 8–12; we don't.

Are your Pemberton dog walkers certified and insured?

Every Doggy Tales walker is DogSafe Canine First Aid certified and Fear Free certified for low-stress handling, plus the company carries full commercial liability insurance through The Co-operators. We also carry bear spray, a satellite SOS communicator, and a canine trail first-aid kit on every walk. Meet the team.

How do I book a Pemberton dog walker?

Start with the booking form or take our 60-second quiz to find the right service. New Pemberton clients get a free in-home meet & greet before the first walk — we meet your dog, check fit with the pack, and make sure we have everything we need (gate codes, leash, harness, treats, meds).
