Every hotel below is in Whistler Village, the Upper Village or Creekside, sits close to the Valley Trail, and treats a four-legged guest like a guest. We checked each pet policy on the hotel’s own website in September 2026. Policies change, so confirm when you book and ask for a pet-friendly room by name.

Upper Village
Fairmont Chateau Whistler

The Chateau is the classic, and it does dogs properly. Your dog arrives to a bed, a bowl and kibble waiting in the room. It sits at the foot of Blackcomb with the Valley Trail right outside, so the first walk of the morning starts at the front door.
Dogs stay out of the restaurants, the pool deck and the Fairmont Gold lounge. There’s also a $75 charge if a dog has to leave the room because of noise, so a tired dog is a quiet dog.
Why we love it: the Valley Trail and the Lost Lake loops are a short walk away — some of the best dog walking in Whistler, with no car needed.

Creekside

Our pick for a quieter trip. Nita Lake Lodge sits right on the water in Creekside, a few minutes from the Creekside gondola and away from the Village crowds. The lodge keeps its own pet guide with local groomers, sitters and walkers, and the patio welcomes dogs.
The lodge doesn’t post its pet fee online, so call ahead for the current rate and grab a pet-friendly room early. They go fast in ski season.
Why we love it: the Valley Trail runs along the lake past the front door, and Alta Lake is a short stroll away for dogs who like a swim.

The best value on this list. Crystal Lodge doesn’t charge a nightly pet fee for up to two dogs, of any size. Dogs get treats on arrival plus a bowl, a blanket and a towel — you’ll use the towel after the first muddy walk.
It’s right in the middle of the Village, so you’re a few steps from the Village Stroll, the gondolas and plenty of dog-friendly patios.
Why we love it: no fee and no size limit. Big dogs are as welcome as small ones.

Aava has one of the friendliest pet policies in town: dogs from “a small mouse to a pony” are welcome, for one flat $30 fee that covers up to five nights. That makes it the easy pick for a longer stay.
Dogs can’t be left alone in the room, which is where a walker comes in handy. The hotel sits a block off the Village Stroll with the paved Valley Trail close by.

Dogs stay leashed or crated in the common areas and can’t be left alone in the suite.
