Abbey - Owner & Operator
"Hi! I’m Abbey and I’ve been working professionally with dogs in Whistler for over 2 years. I grew up obsessed with animals and as an avid equestrian in the small town of Brockville, Ontario. Although I dreamed of becoming a vet, I ended up completing a BSc in Biodiversity and Conservation and a minor in Anthropology at McGill University. After finishing a post grad in Ecosystem Restoration at Niagara College, I travelled west to Whistler “Just for a season”. Four seasons later and I find myself more in love with life in the mountains each passing day."
Dakota - Head of Walkies
"While growing up, dogs were always part of my life. My mom was a dog breeder and also operated her own dog boarding facility on the farm where I lived. From this I learned a lot about dog care, behaviour, health, and the wonderful companionship they offer to us. After leaving home, living without furry friends felt strange - so I decided to work as a dog sitter via Rover. Although this was a short term solution, I knew that I needed a pup of my own. So as of July 19th, my partner and I welcomed Murphy into our lives! Being a pet owner myself, I know from experience that we can’t always be there for our dogs. Because of this, I love to help out where I can when supporting responsible dog ownership! And what better company to work for than Doggy Tales Whistler!"
